Nicolas Barre College Ganye concluded the academic year 2021/2022 with a graduation ceremony for SS 3 students and the lunching of the school Almanac. The day delighted staff, parents, students, and well-wishers alike. It was a time to celebrate the students’ accomplishments in completing the second phase of their education.
- The graduation ceremony included the following events:
- Speeches by the principal, head boy, and head girl
- The cutting of the graduation cake.
- Lunching of the school Almanac
- Presentations by various school clubs
- Awarded for academic excellence and recognition of exceptional qualities. among many others.
During the speech, the principal, who was represented by her vice, encouraged the graduating students not to forget the good values instilled in them throughout their time at the school; the need to be good ambassadors of the school cannot be overstated; and he also emphasized the need to go out there and make a difference in the world, particularly in our society, which is plagued by corruption and bad governance.
The principal thanked the teachers, parents of the graduating students, and management for helping shape them into the people they are today. So, as the school motto implies, we are sending you into the larger society to be simple in your virtue and steadfast in your duty; go and make us proud.
The ceremony was followed by the cutting of the graduation cake and the launching of the Almanac.
The various presentations of the school clubs, drama, dance, music, press, and so on entertained our guests. The presentation of awards for academic excellence and appreciation of special qualities brought the graduation to a close.
Finally, the graduation concluded with a vote of thanks from the school’s outgoing head girl and a closing prayer.
