The 21st October, 2021 was a very special and memorable day in the history of the congregation especially for the sisters in Nigeria as we celebrated the 400 years of the birthday anniversary of our founder Blessed Nicolas Barre.

All the sisters renewed their commitment and we welcomed all our friends (Nicolas Barre Friends) who also learn and desire to follow in the footsteps of our founder as lay collaborators. We thank God for the gift of Juliet and Maureen for their final YES to God and for the service of God’s people.

The celebration was honored with the presence of friends, family members, co-workers from our different ministries who travelled far and near from different parts of the country to rejoice and celebrate with us. There were many priests and religious from different congregations and three bishops who came to share our joy.

The celebration was made more colorful with the final vows profession of Sisters Juliet Shima and Maureen Agwagu. We thank God for the gift of these young, vibrant and enthusiastic sisters to our congregation as we pray for their final perseverance in the service of God and his people.

The chief celebrant, bishop Charles Hammawa, bishop of Jalingo, in his homily, he gave a beautiful refection on the life and mission of Blessed Nicolas Barre thanked our sisters for their contribution to the development of the diocese in different areas of our ministries. He also called on the newly professed to remain faithful to their calling and express gratitude to the families for their generosity and sacrifice.

Refreshment and entertainment were enjoyed by all after the mass.
